edit: changed their names to wish keepers since there was already a species called wishlings!///w\\\\

Wish keepers are creatures born out of a wishing star and their only purpose is to deliver the wish that was made upon that star. It is said that a wish keeper is born from the soul of a human that have died but still wishes to live on, and if that wish is strong enough they will be given a second chance but the catch is in order to make their wish come true they have to make other peoples wish come true first.

in order to get reincarnated a wish keeper need to deliver 5 wishes to people that have made a wish on a star. Each time they complete a mission a star will appear on their tail indicating the missions completion. Every wish keeper starts off with 1 star mark on its tail (which indicates their own wish). they can have a maximum of 6 star marks on their tail. Once they've gotten the 6th mark the wish keeper will be asked whether it still wants to be reincarnated or if it still wishes to stay a wish keeper.

Patterns
Pick 1 pattern from each row to make the inner markings for the wish keeper the same goes of the outer markings
note:
-each wishkeeper doesn't necessarily have all the inner and outer ear pattern
-patterns like polka dots, plaids etc in the ear is fine.

tail types by Yumesi
The rare star alignments only applies for 6 star wish keepers.

ear + eye types by Yumesi
-Though rare mismatching eye shapes does occur as well.
-A wish keeper eye's are normally dark colored to highlight the star mark in it.( doesn't mean it can't have light colored eyes) Its eyes will glow at night/dark places
-the more the star marks on the tail, the higher the rank of the wish keeper

how does a mission work?
A mission is when a human wishes upon a shooting star. Everytime a shooting star fall. the first wish that is made upon it is recorded on it and once the wish is accepted, a wish keeper will be assigned on the wish.

how long does it takes to deliver the wish?
That depends really, unfortunately the wish keeper will be randomly dropped off at locations on earth once they've received their missions. So a wish keeper that have been dropped off nearer to the person who made the wish can complete their mission faster others might take a few month/years to complete them. The floating star at their tail works as a navigation device whch will light up whenever they are near to the person who made the wish.

do a wish keeper retain any memory from when they were humans?
no they don't, all they know is that they have to complete delivering 5 wishes in order to make their own come true.

can a wish keeper not complete its mission?
yes. unfortunately there are cases in which a wish keeper does not complete its mission. If a wish keeper does not complete its mission it will be labeled as "lost"

how long is a wish keeper lifespan?
A wish keeper lifespan is way longer than that of a normal human. Being born out of a star and all a wishing star can live hundreds of years.

Can they die of normal means?
unfortunately they can, wish keepers are just as vulnerable as a normal person is. they can get hurt if they get hit, cut, etc.. however a lost wish keeper is more prone to get injuries then a normal one.

what happens when they wish to stay as a wish keeper?
A wish keeper that chooses to stay a wish keeper after all of it's mission completion will be given a higher rank. These wish keeper are rare as a lot of them will choose to be reborn instead since that was their main purpose in the first place.

How does a wish keeper become "lost"?
A lost occur when:
1. the human who made the wish manage to make another wish to a shooting star and that new wish gets accepted, making the old one forgotten. If this happens the star that they're carrying in the bottle will lost its shine and I'll stop floating.
2. the human died before the wish is successfully delivered.
3. the wishing star in bottle got stolen/ or has gone missing for some reason.
4. the wish keeper decided to ignore its mission.( a wish keeper is not bound to finish it's mission so it may choose to ignore it if it wish to do so)

what differs a lost wish keeper from a normal one?
A lost wish keeper:
- hair will start to change into a darker shade of color
- the star shape in its eyes will begin to fade. Once both fades the wish keeper will not be able to see. ( though once this happens their other senses will get heighten. )
- The wishing star in the bottle that they carry around will start to crack and loses its glow.
- The hovering star around their tail will wish keeper.(Since that hovering star works as a tracking device, helping them find the human who made the wish, without it they will be lost and unable to complete their mission.)

will a lost wish keeper die?
no, though without completing their mission to deliver the wish the have no means to return back.

Is there any way for a lost wish keeper to get back?
yes. A 6 star wish keeper can take a special mission in which they can rescue a lost wish keeper.
